INSIGHT

13.56 Mhz

In an effort to lower Tag cost and address applications of high quantity tag usage, the 13.56 MHz RFID tag was born, along with the high frequency reader. At this frequency, a Tag’s coil need not be made of hard copper wrappings. The coil can actually be a printed ink on a paper like substrate which than has an eeprom added to it. During the mid to late 1990’s, 13.56 MHz RFID tags were the vogue technology that many experts saw as a path to addressing high quantity applications necessitating low Tag costs.

What is NFC?

NFC stands for “Near Field Communication” and, as the name implies, it enables short-range communication between compatible devices.

NFC tags can act as electronic identity documents and keycards. They are used in contactless payment systems and allow mobile payment replacing or supplementing systems such as credit cards and electronic ticket smart cards. This is sometimes called NFC/CTLS or CTLS NFC, with contactless abbreviated CTLS. .

01

PAYMENT APPLICATIONS

NFC-enabled portable devices can be provided with application software, for example, to read electronic tags or make payments when connected to an NFC-compliant apparatus. Earlier close-range communication used technology that was proprietary to the manufacturer for applications such as stock tickets, access control and payment readers..

02

NFC card emulation

Enables NFC-enabled devices such as smartphones to act like smart cards, allowing users to perform transactions such as payment or ticketing.

03

NFC reader/writer

Enables NFC-enabled devices to read information stored on inexpensive NFC tags embedded in labels or smart posters.

04

NFC IS PASSIVE

NFC tags are passive data stores which can be read, and under some circumstances written to, by an NFC device. They typically contain data (as of 2015 between 96 and 8,192 bytes) and are read-only in normal use, but may be rewritable.

CUSTOM CARDS

Blanks cards are easy to visually counterfeit

We provide comprehensive options to secure your credential. Add your logo, pre-printing, a hologram or a mobile identity mark.

PRE-PRINTING

Our team has over 60 years are print experience. Most all credentials are pre-printed with your branding. Include you logo, design and static info already built into the card body. The ink will not wear or rub off due to being under the top laminate. Our cards are 100% ready to add the variable data via desktop printers (ribbon transfer or engraving).

ENCRYPTION

Our team can program, lock, read data and print data onto the card. Often, the UID is used to register the card to a access control or time clock system. The UID is linked to the card holder and access rights are given or revoked through the system. To eliminate the need to read a card, the data is often printed on the card for quick entry into the software.

THE NEWEST ENCRYPTION

What is EV3?

Compared to the MIFARE DESFire EV1, the latest MIFARE DESFire chip, the EV2, offers a greater operating distance. The 70pF version enables the read range optimizations of small antenna form factors, as well as the perfect balance between cost-efficiency, performance and speed.

The features of the MIFARE DESFire EV3 IC reflect NXP’s continued commitment to secure, connected and convenient contactless Smart City services. As part of the MIFARE DESFire family, the latest family member combines enhanced performance with a greater operating distance and improved transaction speed compared to its predecessors, including:

  • IC hardware and software certification according to Common Criteria EAL 5+
  • Broad choice of open crypto algorithms based on DES, 2K3DES, 3K3DES, or AES
  • SUN message authentication for advanced data protection
  • Transaction Timer to mitigate man-in-the-middle attacks
  • Seamless integration of mobile services in combination with MIFARE 2GO

Mifare ev3 cards have large capacity and high encryption. Now it is widely used in subway bus card, high-end membership card and other fields. Today, the incomparable art process of the card brings customers an improved experience
